Replacement & Refund Policy

Cancellation, Refund & Repair Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 2 November 2026   |   Last Updated: 2 November 2026

Aulten Digital Private Limited (“Aulten”, “we”, “us” or “our”) follows a repair-based warranty policy strictly for manufacturing defects.

Except where mandatorily required under applicable law, products once sold and delivered are not eligible for return, replacement or refund.

Aulten's warranty applies only where the product develops a manufacturing defect during the applicable warranty period while being used normally, correctly and within its specified operating conditions.

The warranty does not cover any defect, failure or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, overloading, improper installation, incorrect electrical conditions, physical damage, tampering, unauthorised repair, external causes or use outside the product's specified application or operating limits.

For an eligible manufacturing defect, Aulten will provide repair service, either onsite or offsite wherever technically and operationally possible, subject to the terms below.

01. NO RETURN, REPLACEMENT OR REFUND

Aulten does not ordinarily offer return, replacement or refund for products once sold and delivered.

This includes cases involving:

  • Change of mind;
  • Product no longer being required;
  • Incorrect model selection;
  • Incorrect capacity selection;
  • Incorrect voltage-range selection;
  • Product being unsuitable for the customer's intended application due to incorrect selection;
  • Customer preference for another model or product; or
  • Damage or failure caused by misuse, abuse or circumstances outside warranty coverage.

Eligible manufacturing defects are addressed through repair under warranty, not through return, replacement or refund.

Nothing in this clause restricts any remedy that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

02. SCOPE OF WARRANTY

Aulten's warranty covers manufacturing defects only.

For a warranty claim to qualify:

  1. The defect must arise during the applicable warranty period;
  2. The defect must be attributable to a manufacturing defect in the product or a covered component;
  3. The product must have been used for its intended application;
  4. The product must have been operated within its specified load, voltage and other operating parameters;
  5. The product must have been installed and operated appropriately; and
  6. The defect must not have resulted from misuse, abuse, negligence, external electrical conditions, accident, tampering or another excluded cause.

Aulten or its authorised service representative may inspect and diagnose the product to determine whether the reported issue constitutes an eligible manufacturing defect.

A reported product failure does not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect or warranty claim.

03. REPAIR WARRANTY

Where Aulten confirms that a product has an eligible manufacturing defect, Aulten will endeavour to repair the affected product or covered component without charging for the covered repair, subject to the applicable warranty terms.

The repair may include:

  • Repairing a defective component;
  • Replacing an individual defective component or spare part;
  • Reworking an affected assembly; or
  • Performing another technically appropriate repair.

Replacement of a component or spare part during repair does not constitute replacement of the complete product.

Warranty service may be provided onsite or offsite wherever possible, depending on the product, fault, location, technical feasibility and service availability.

04. ONSITE AND OFFSITE SERVICE

Aulten may provide onsite service where technically feasible and where service coverage is available.

Onsite service depends upon factors including:

  • Product category;
  • Customer location;
  • Nature of the fault;
  • Availability of technicians;
  • Availability of spare parts; and
  • Technical and safety considerations.

Where onsite diagnosis or repair is unavailable, impractical or unsuccessful, the product may be required to be sent to an Aulten-designated service centre or repair facility for offsite diagnosis and repair.

Onsite service is not guaranteed for every product or location.

05. WARRANTY CLAIM AND TECHNICAL INSPECTION

All warranty claims are subject to verification and technical inspection.

Aulten may request:

  • Valid purchase invoice;
  • Product model;
  • Serial number;
  • Description of the problem;
  • Photographs or videos;
  • Input/output voltage readings;
  • Connected-load information;
  • Installation information; and
  • Other information reasonably necessary for diagnosis.

Aulten or its authorised service representative may inspect the product to determine the actual cause of failure.

The determination of whether a fault constitutes a manufacturing defect will be based on reasonable technical assessment, product specifications and applicable warranty terms.

06. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS – MISUSE AND ABUSE

Warranty does not apply where the defect, failure or damage is caused wholly or partly by misuse, abuse or circumstances other than a manufacturing defect.

Without limitation, warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse or abuse of the product;
  • Overloading beyond rated capacity;
  • Using the product for an application for which it was not designed;
  • Incorrect product or capacity selection;
  • Incorrect installation;
  • Incorrect wiring;
  • Loose or defective external connections;
  • Improper earthing;
  • Short circuits originating outside the product;
  • Abnormal input conditions outside specified limits;
  • Voltage/current conditions outside product specifications;
  • Physical damage;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Water, moisture or liquid damage;
  • Pest, insect or rodent damage;
  • Negligence or improper handling;
  • Unauthorised opening of the product;
  • Unauthorised repairs;
  • Alterations or modifications;
  • Tampering;
  • Removal or alteration of identification/serial information where relevant;
  • Fire;
  • Flood;
  • Lightning;
  • Earthquake;
  • Natural disasters;
  • External electrical faults;
  • Damage caused by another appliance or equipment; or
  • Any other cause that is not attributable to a manufacturing defect.

Such cases will be treated as non-warranty service cases.

07. BURNING / BURNT COMPONENTS

A burnt product or component will not automatically be considered a manufacturing defect.

Aulten may inspect the product to determine the cause of burning.

Where burning results from a verified manufacturing defect, the eligible repair may be covered under warranty.

However, where burning is attributable to circumstances such as:

  • Overloading;
  • Short circuit originating externally;
  • Incorrect wiring;
  • Loose electrical connections;
  • Improper installation;
  • Abnormal electrical supply;
  • Operation outside specified voltage/load conditions;
  • Misuse;
  • Abuse; or
  • Any other external cause,

the case will not be covered under warranty.

Where technically feasible, Aulten may offer a paid repair for such non-warranty cases.

08. INCORRECT APPLICATION OR OVERLOADING

Every Aulten product must be used only for its specified application and within its rated capacity.

For example:

  • An AC stabilizer should not be used as a mainline stabilizer unless specifically designed for that purpose;
  • A stabilizer must not be connected to a load exceeding its rated capacity;
  • A stabilizer designed for a particular appliance category should not be used for an incompatible application; and
  • The product must be operated within its specified input-voltage and operating range.

Failure or damage resulting from incorrect application, incorrect capacity selection or overloading is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty.

09. PAID REPAIR FOR NON-WARRANTY CASES

Where a product is not covered under warranty because the issue is attributable to misuse, abuse, external conditions, physical damage, expired warranty or another excluded cause, Aulten may, where technically feasible, offer repair on a chargeable basis.

Applicable charges may include:

  • Spare parts;
  • Components;
  • Labour;
  • Technician visit;
  • Inspection;
  • Pickup/transportation;
  • Re-delivery; and
  • Applicable taxes.

Where practicable, applicable charges will be communicated to the customer before paid repair is undertaken.

Availability of paid repair is subject to technical feasibility and spare-part availability.

10. WARRANTY PERIOD AFTER REPAIR

Repair or replacement of an internal component under warranty does not restart or extend the original product warranty unless expressly confirmed otherwise by Aulten in writing.

The repaired product will remain covered only for the balance of the original applicable warranty period.

11. IMPORTANT WARRANTY PRINCIPLE

For avoidance of doubt:

AULTEN WARRANTY = MANUFACTURING DEFECT REPAIR WARRANTY ONLY.

The warranty is not:

  • A return guarantee;
  • A replacement guarantee;
  • A refund guarantee;
  • Product insurance;
  • Accidental-damage protection;
  • Misuse/abuse protection; or
  • Protection against external electrical or environmental causes.

Warranty eligibility will depend upon the cause of the reported defect or failure, not merely upon whether the product is within its warranty period.

12. STATUTORY RIGHTS

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law.

Where a mandatory statutory requirement applies to a particular transaction or circumstance, that requirement will prevail to the extent required by law.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.

To the extent permitted under applicable law, all disputes, claims and legal proceedings arising from or relating to this Policy, warranty or Aulten's after-sales services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, India.

Nothing in this clause restricts any mandatory statutory forum or remedy available under applicable law.
