📊 Quick Appliance Wattage & KVA Reference Guide

Why KVA is higher than running Watts: ACs and refrigerators contain motors with compressor startup surges (inrush current) that require 2x–3x running wattage for safe startup.

Appliance / Setup Typical Running Load Starting Surge Load Recommended Aulten Stabilizer
1.5 Ton Inverter / Split AC 1,500W – 1,800W Up to 3,000W Aulten 4 KVA (130V-280V)
2.0 Ton Heavy AC 2,200W – 2,500W Up to 4,000W Aulten 5 KVA (130V-280V)
1 AC + Home Appliances (1BHK/2BHK) 2,500W – 3,200W Up to 4,000W Aulten 5 KVA Mainline (70V-270V)
2–3 ACs + Complete Home (3BHK/Villa) 5,000W – 6,500W Up to 8,000W Aulten COPPER 10 KVA AD015 (90V-300V)
Refrigerator / Deep Freezer 250W – 400W Up to 800W Aulten 2A (130V-290V)
Commercial & Industrial Load 10,000W – 400,000W+ Continuous Precision Aulten Servo Corrector (10 KVA – 500 KVA)

❓ Frequently Asked Questions About Sizing

Can I connect two 1.5 Ton ACs to one 5 KVA Mainline Stabilizer?
While a 5 KVA stabilizer can power 1 AC plus basic home appliances (fridge, TV, lights), running two 1.5 Ton ACs simultaneously requires at least 8 KVA to 10 KVA capacity. For 2 or more ACs, we strongly recommend our Aulten 10 KVA Heavy Duty Mainline Stabilizer to prevent overheating and circuit tripping.
What if my area has extreme low voltage below 90V?
Standard market stabilizers fail when input voltage drops below 130V. If your area experiences severe low voltage (as low as 60V–70V), choose Aulten's 50V–280V or 70V–270V Extreme Low Voltage models. These are specifically built with custom copper gear ratios to pull voltage back to a safe 220V–240V range.
